Ruth was born in Oxford and trained at Hull University. An experienced actress and voice over artist, theatre includes Lady Macbeth in Macbeth (Young Shakespeare Company); Cathy Earnshaw/Catherine Linton in Wuthering Heights (OTTC); Violet in Steaming (M.B.Entertainment); Quiz Mistress in Quiz Night at the Britannia (Deck Theatre Company); Bet in April in Paris (CCST) and several productions for Visible Inc, Solomon Theatre and Sixth Sense Theatre Company.

 

Screen credits include major roles in Abduction 2, Astrosapiens, The Patient, Dead Positive, Who Am I?, Meatchute, Lines. TV includes numerous voice overs, mainly for schools programmes, Housewife in Freedom Finance commercial and Mum in Channel 4’s Mathsbook. Radio credits include Heights for BBC Radio 4, Waves for BBC Radio Network North and a twenty part novel serialisation for BBC Radio York. Ruth is a regular presenter on Radio Cherwell with bi-weekly two hour magazine show WAWOW, weekly Record Requests programme, and co-hosting on Hospital News and Residents Requests.

 

Ruth is also a highly experienced roleplayer and workshop leader. She has swum with dolphins, flown light aircraft and done a tandem skydive.
